Jonathan Sewall
Jonathan Sewall (1754–1828) was an American lawyer and politician from Massachusetts. He served as a prominent figure during the late 18th century, notably as Attorney General of Massachusetts and briefly as a judge. Sewall was involved in the political debates surrounding the American Revolution, initially supporting British authority but later aligning with American independence. His career reflects the complex loyalties and shifts of perspective during that tumultuous period. Though not as widely known as other founding figures, Sewall played a significant role in Massachusetts's legal and political development in the early years of the United States.
