Jonang
The Jonang is a Tibetan Buddhist tradition that emphasizes an approach called "Shentong," focusing on the innate, empty nature of all phenomena combined with a confident recognition of ultimate reality. It originated in the 13th century with the teachings of Dolpopa Sherab Gyaltsen and offers unique interpretations of emptiness and the nature of mind. Historically, it was sometimes overshadowed by other Tibetan schools but has experienced a revival in recent years. Its teachings aim to cultivate wisdom and compassion, helping practitioners realize the awakened nature within all beings.
