Jon Favreau is an American filmmaker and actor known for his work in both independent and mainstream cinema. He gained fame as the writer and director of the popular 2003 film "Elf" and later directed the blockbuster "Iron Man" (2008), which launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Favreau has also worked on "The Jungle Book" (2016) and "The Lion King" (2019), showcasing his talent for creating visual effects-driven films. In addition to his directing career, he played a prominent role in the TV series "Friends" and is the creator of the hit Disney+ show "The Mandalorian."
