Joint Interagency Task Force

A Joint Interagency Task Force (JIATF) is a specialized unit formed by different government agencies—like the military, intelligence, and law enforcement—to work together on complex issues such as drug trafficking, terrorism, or maritime security. By sharing resources, information, and expertise, they coordinate efforts more effectively than any single agency could alone. The goal is to identify, track, and disrupt illegal activities or threats, often in international or challenging environments. JIATFs enhance national security through collaboration, operational efficiency, and strategic planning.
