Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee
The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee is a group of senior military leaders from the different branches of the U.S. armed forces—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force. They advise the Secretary of Defense and the President on military strategy, operations, and readiness. While they do not have direct command over troops, they play a crucial role in coordinating and planning at the highest levels to ensure the military functions effectively and cohesively across all services.
