Joint Base
A joint base is a military installation where two or more branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps, share facilities and resources. This collaboration allows different services to operate efficiently together, maximize limited space, and reduce costs. Instead of having separate bases for each branch, they combine activities and infrastructure in one location, fostering coordination and joint training. Examples include Joint Base Lewis-McChord or Joint Base Andrews, which serve multiple military branches simultaneously.
