John Robinson was a prominent Puritan minister in early 17th-century England and a leader among those seeking religious reform. He advocated for a sincere, personal approach to faith and played a key role in shaping the spiritual direction of the Pilgrims. Robinson supported the idea of establishing a new community based on religious convictions, which eventually led a group of his followers to migrate to North America aboard the Mayflower.
