John Piaget

Jean Piaget was a Swiss psychologist best known for his theory of cognitive development, which explains how children's thinking and understanding evolve over time. He proposed that kids move through four main stages—sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operational, and formal operational—increasing their ability to think abstractly, reason logically, and understand the world. Piaget’s work highlights that children actively explore and learn from their environment, constructing knowledge step-by-step rather than passively absorbing information. His ideas have greatly influenced education and our understanding of childhood intellectual growth.
