John McKinney (politician)

John McKinney is an American politician from Connecticut who served as a Republican member of the Connecticut State Senate from 2007 to 2017. He represented the 28th District, which includes portions of Fairfield County. During his tenure, he was known for his work on fiscal responsibility, education, and government reform. McKinney also ran for governor in 2014 but did not win the nomination. Before his political career, he was a lawyer.
