John James Audubon was an American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter known for his detailed and vibrant illustrations of birds in their natural habitats. Born in Haiti in 1785 and raised in France, he moved to the United States, where he became passionate about wildlife. Audubon’s most famous work, "The Birds of America," showcases over 400 bird species and is celebrated for its artistic quality and scientific accuracy. His contributions significantly advanced the field of ornithology and fostered a deeper appreciation for nature, influencing both art and conservation efforts in the 19th century. He died in 1851.
