John G. Neihardt

John G. Neihardt was an American poet, author, and scholar best known for capturing Native American stories and spirituality. He dedicated much of his life's work to documenting and interpreting indigenous cultures, particularly the Plains tribes. His most famous work, "Black Elk Speaks," is a poetic account of the life and visions of Lakota healer Black Elk.
