John Bachman
John Bachman (1790–1874) was an American Lutheran minister, naturalist, and educator. He is best known for co-authoring "The Quadrupeds of North America," a comprehensive book on North American mammals, with John James Audubon. Bachman was also involved in religious leadership and education, serving as a pastor and college president. His work bridged science and faith, contributing significantly to American natural history and fostering interest in the study of animals through both scientific inquiry and education.
