Johannes Schöner
Johannes Schöner (1477–1547) was a German mathematician, astronomer, and cartographer from the Renaissance era. He is best known for creating detailed celestial globes and maps that represented the universe based on the limited scientific knowledge of his time. Schöner also contributed to the development of early astronomical instruments and was among the first to use the telescope for observation. His work helped improve the understanding of Earth's place in the cosmos and influenced navigation and astronomy in Europe during the 16th century.
