Jin dynasty (1115–1234)
The Jin dynasty (1115–1234) was a Chinese dynasty established by the Jurchen people, a nomadic tribe from northern China. They rose to power by overthrowing the Liao Dynasty and later expanded into northern China, challenging the Song Dynasty. The Jin established a sophisticated government, promoted commerce, and built impressive cities. Their rule was marked by military strength and cultural development, but they also faced internal struggles and pressure from other groups. Eventually, in 1234, the Mongols invaded, leading to the Jin’s collapse. The dynasty played a significant role in Chinese history, bridging nomadic and Han Chinese influences.
