Jimson weed (Datura stramonium)

Jimson weed, or Datura stramonium, is a tall, leafy plant with trumpet-shaped white or purple flowers and spiny seed pods. It contains toxic alkaloids like atropine, hyoscamine, and scopolamine, which affect the nervous system. Historically used in medicine and shamanic rituals, parts of the plant can cause hallucinations, confusion, rapid heartbeat, dry mouth, and dilated pupils if ingested or misused.
