Jiangxi Soviet

The Jiangxi Soviet was a self-governed area in southeastern China from 1931 to 1934, established by Chinese Communist forces during the Chinese Civil War. It served as a base for Communist activities, land reform, and experimental governance, aiming to challenge the Nationalist government. The Soviet covered parts of Jiangxi Province and was a key early stronghold where Communists tested their policies before the Long March. It symbolized early Communist efforts to build a revolutionary base and promote social change amidst ongoing conflict with the Nationalists.
