Jewish Welfare Board

The Jewish Welfare Board (JWB), founded in 1917, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Jewish service members, veterans, and their families. It provides religious, cultural, and social programs to promote spiritual well-being and community connection within the military and veteran communities. JWB also helps Jewish soldiers observe their traditions and ensures access to Jewish chaplains and resources. Beyond military assistance, the organization works to strengthen Jewish identity and promote social services for Jews at large. Its mission is to serve the spiritual, educational, and social needs of Jewish Americans, especially those in or connected to the armed forces.
