Jellyfish and eels relationship

Jellyfish and eels often share the same habitat, such as coral reefs and open oceans, but they have different ecological roles. Jellyfish are gelatinous, free-floating predators that primarily feed on small fish and plankton by capturing them with their stinging tentacles. Eels are elongated, often burrowing predators that hunt fish, crustaceans, and sometimes jellyfish. Both can coexist within the same environment, with eels sometimes preying on jellyfish if the opportunity arises, while jellyfish generally do not prey on eels. Their relationship is mainly one of shared space rather than direct interaction or prey-predator dynamics.
