Jekyll and Hyde syndrome
Jekyll and Hyde syndrome refers to a psychological condition where an individual exhibits two very different personalities: one that is socially acceptable and kind (Jekyll), and another that is impulsive, aggressive, or harmful (Hyde). This flip between personalities can happen suddenly and unpredictably, often due to underlying emotional conflicts or trauma. The disorder highlights a split in a person’s character, where they may present a normal, stable outward personality but harbor a hidden, more dangerous side. It is associated with dissociative identity disorder and can require professional psychological treatment.
