Jeanne d'Arc

Jeanne d’Arc, known as Joan of Arc, was a French peasant girl born around 1412 who believed she was chosen by God to lead France to victory during the Hundred Years’ War. She claimed to receive divine guidance and helped lift the French army, playing a key role in several important battles. Her actions boosted national morale, but she was eventually captured, tried for heresy, and burned at the stake in 1431. Later, she was canonized as a saint, recognized for her courage, faith, and leadership as a symbol of resistance and patriotism.
