Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume (1808–1875) was a renowned French luthier and bow maker, celebrated for crafting and restoring high-quality violins, violas, and cellos. He was also a prominent dealer in fine antique instruments, helping artists acquire historically significant pieces. Vuillaume's innovative techniques and meticulous craftsmanship elevated the standard of string instrument making in the 19th century, and his work influenced future luthiers. His workshop in Paris produced many valuable instruments, some of which are highly sought after by musicians and collectors today.
