JCOMM (Joint Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology)

JCOMM (Joint Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology) is a collaborative organization under the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC). Its goal is to coordinate international efforts in oceanography and marine weather forecasting, improving understanding of ocean conditions and their impact on climate, weather, and maritime safety. JCOMM develops global observing systems, shares data, and promotes best practices to ensure accurate, timely information about the oceans, which helps in weather prediction, climate monitoring, and protecting marine lives and assets.
