Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas Scheme

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) scheme is a system of government-funded schools in India that aims to provide quality education to talented students from rural areas. Established by the Ministry of Education, these schools offer free education, including accommodation, books, and meals, to students from classes 6 to 12. They focus on nurturing academic excellence, leadership, and holistic development, fostering social equity by promoting gender and regional diversity. JNVs also aim to identify and develop potential in students who might not have access to good educational opportunities otherwise.
