Japanese Self-Defence Forces
The Japanese Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) are Japan’s military organization responsible for national security and defense. Established after World War II, their primary role is to protect Japan from external threats and assist in disaster response, rather than serve as an offensive military force. The JSDF includes ground, maritime, and aerial branches, operating under constitutional constraints that limit aggressive military action. While they maintain advanced equipment and training, their mission emphasizes defense, peacekeeping, and humanitarian efforts, reflecting Japan's post-war pacifist policy while ensuring readiness for self-defense.
