Japanese Military
The Japanese military, officially known as the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF), was established post-World War II primarily for national defense. Due to Japan's pacifist constitution, it maintains a defensive posture, focusing on protecting its territory and citizens rather than power projection. It comprises the Ground Self-Defense Force (army), Maritime Self-Defense Force (navy), and Air Self-Defense Force (air force). While it cannot engage in offensive warfare, Japan’s JSDF is technologically advanced, participating in international peacekeeping, rescue operations, and regional security collaborations. Its purpose is to deter threats and ensure national stability within its pacifist framework.
