Janus fluid
A Janus fluid is a type of liquid composed of particles that have two distinct sides with different physical or chemical properties—much like the Roman god Janus, who has two faces. These particles can interact differently depending on which side they present, leading to unique behaviors and structures in the fluid. For example, one side might be hydrophilic (water-attracting), while the other is hydrophobic (water-repelling). This duality allows Janus fluids to form complex arrangements and be useful in applications like targeted drug delivery, smart materials, and self-assembling systems.
