Janet Jagan

Janet Jagan was a prominent political leader in Guyana, serving as the country's first female president from 1997 to 1999. Originally from the United States, she moved to Guyana and became actively involved in its political scene, advocating for social justice and workers’ rights. Jagan was also a co-founder of the People's Progressive Party (PPP).
