Jan Nowak-Jeziorański was a Polish patriot, journalist, and resistance fighter who played a vital role during World War II and the Cold War. During the war, he was a courier, secretly transporting information across occupied Europe for the Polish resistance and Allies. After the war, he became a prominent journalist and broadcaster, working for Radio Free Europe, where he reported on the communist regime in Poland, helping to inform and support those opposing oppression. His courageous efforts contributed significantly to the resistance against totalitarianism and to Poland’s eventual liberation and transition to democracy.
