Jan Koum

Jan Koum is a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur best known as the co-founder of WhatsApp, a popular messaging app used worldwide. Born on February 24, 1976, in Ukraine, Koum immigrated to the United States in 1992. After working at Yahoo for nearly a decade, he and his partner Brian Acton launched WhatsApp in 2009 to provide a simple, secure way for people to communicate. In 2014, Facebook acquired WhatsApp for approximately $19 billion, making it one of the largest tech deals in history. Koum is recognized for his contributions to technology and digital communication.
