James Maxwell
James Clerk Maxwell was a pioneering physicist who developed a set of equations that describe how electric and magnetic fields behave and interact. His work unified these forces into a single theory, showing they are different aspects of the same phenomenon, which led to the foundation of modern electromagnetic theory. Maxwell's equations also predicted the existence of electromagnetic waves—such as radio, light, and X-rays—moving through space at the speed of light. His contributions fundamentally transformed our understanding of electromagnetic phenomena and paved the way for many modern technologies.
