Jalak Bali (Bali Starling)

The Jalak Bali, or Bali Starling, is a critically endangered bird native to Indonesia’s Bali Island. It's easily recognizable by its striking white plumage, bright yellow bill and eye-ring, and black markings on its wings. This bird inhabits tropical forests and is known for its striking appearance and loud, melodious calls. Due to habitat loss, illegal pet trade, and deforestation, its population has plummeted, making it one of the world’s rarest birds. Conservation efforts include breeding programs and habitat protection to ensure its survival and prevent extinction.
