Jagiellonian Dynasty

The Jagiellonian Dynasty was a royal family that ruled parts of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly Poland and Lithuania, from the late 14th century to the 16th century. Founded by Jogaila, the Grand Duke of Lithuania, it unified the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland through his marriage to Queen Jadwiga. This dynasty is known for significant cultural and political achievements, including the Golden Age of Poland, which brought prosperity and strengthened the realm's influence in Europe. The dynasty ended with the death of Sigismund II Augustus in 1572, leading to a new era in Polish history.
