JAG

JAG, or the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, is the legal branch of the military that provides legal services to service members and the military itself. JAG officers handle a variety of legal matters, including courts-martial (military trials), legal advice to commanders, administrative law, and military justice procedures. They ensure military laws are followed and protect the rights of service members, much like civilian lawyers do in everyday law. Overall, JAG supports the military’s legal needs, maintaining discipline, fairness, and legal integrity within the armed forces.
