Jafari jurisprudence

Jafari jurisprudence is a branch of Islamic law followed primarily by Twelver Shia Muslims, originating from the teachings of the 11th-century scholar Ja'far al-Sadiq. It provides detailed guidance on religious practices, ethical behavior, and legal issues, based on the Quran, Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad and Imams), and reasoning. Jafari law emphasizes the interpretive role of the Imams and allows for independent reasoning (ijtihad) by qualified scholars. It shapes daily life, rituals, and legal systems within Shia communities, ensuring religious compliance while considering contemporary circumstances.
