Jack-up rig

A Jack-up rig is a type of floating platform used in offshore drilling to extract oil and gas from beneath the seabed. It has tall, extendable legs that can be lowered to the ocean floor, securing the platform in place. Once the legs are resting on the seabed, the platform is stabilized above the water, providing a stable working environment for drilling operations. Jack-up rigs are typically used in shallow waters, up to about 120 meters (400 feet). They are mobile, allowing them to be relocated to different sites as needed.
