Jack Ruby

Jack Ruby was an American nightclub owner known for killing Lee Harvey Oswald, the man accused of assassinating President John F. Kennedy, in 1963. Ruby's actions occurred two days after Kennedy's death and were captured on live television. His motive remains debated, with some believing he acted out of grief, anger, or a desire to protect Jackie Kennedy. Ruby was convicted of murder and sentenced to death, but his conviction was later overturned, and he died of cancer in prison in 1967. His act and death contributed to ongoing conspiracy theories about the Kennedy assassination.
