Ja'fari school of thought

The Ja'fari school of thought is a major branch of Shia Islam, founded by Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. It guides religious practices, legal rulings, and daily life for its followers. Unlike the Sunni schools, Ja'fari emphasizes the importance of the Prophet Muhammad’s family (Ahl al-Bayt) and uses a combination of Quran, Hadith (sayings of the Prophet), consensus, and reasoning (aql) in its jurisprudence. It is prevalent in countries like Iran and parts of Iraq and Lebanon. The school balances tradition with intellectual reasoning, shaping the spiritual and legal life of its adherents.
