Józef Klemens Piłsudski

Józef Klemens Piłsudski was a Polish statesman and military leader who played a key role in Poland's independence after World War I. Born in 1867, he fought for Polish sovereignty and led efforts to restore the nation's independence in 1918. Piłsudski served as Chief of State and later as Minister of Military Affairs, shaping Poland’s early government and armed forces. Although he temporarily stepped back from politics, he influenced Polish history deeply, especially through his leadership in military coups and efforts to stabilize the country. He remains a national figure celebrated for his dedication to Polish independence and sovereignty.
