Jörmungand

Jörmungand, also known as the Midgard Serpent, is a giant sea serpent from Norse mythology. It is one of Loki’s children and is so large that it can encircle the world, biting its own tail. According to myth, Jörmungand lives in the ocean surrounding Midgard (the human world). It is destined to fight the god Thor during Ragnarok, the end-of-days battle, where they are prophesied to kill each other. Jörmungand symbolizes chaos and the unknown dangers of the sea, playing a key role in the mythological cycle of destruction and renewal.
