Ivan Pavlov - Classical Conditioning
Ivan Pavlov was a Russian physiologist best known for his work on classical conditioning, a learning process where an organism learns to associate a neutral stimulus with a significant one. In his famous experiments, he rang a bell before feeding dogs, eventually causing them to salivate simply at the sound of the bell, even without food present. This process illustrates how behaviors can be conditioned through the association of stimuli, demonstrating that our responses can be shaped by experiences, leading to predictable behavior patterns in response to certain cues.
