Ivan Gundulić

Ivan Gundulić (1589–1638) was a prominent Croatian poet and playwright from Dubrovnik, known for his significant contributions to Baroque literature. His most famous work, "Dubravka," is a pastoral drama that explores themes of love and societal issues, reflecting the cultural and political landscape of his time. Gundulić is also celebrated for his epic poem "Osman," which touches on the struggle against the Ottoman Empire.
