ITU-T G.726

ITU-T G.726 is a standard for audio compression that reduces the size of voice signals in digital communication. It allows voice data to be transmitted efficiently over various networks, such as telephone lines or the internet. By using a technique called adaptive differential pulse-code modulation (ADPCM), G.726 compresses audio without losing significant quality, making it easier to transmit and requiring less bandwidth.
