ITC (International Trade Commission)
The International Trade Commission (ITC) is a U.S. government agency that protects domestic industries from unfair trade practices, such as importing counterfeit or subsidized goods. When a company suspects a competitor is violating trade laws, it can file a petition with the ITC. The IT then investigates and, if warranted, can issue import bans or tariffs to prevent harmful foreign products from entering the U.S. market. Its role is to ensure fair competition and help American industries stay healthy and competitive on the global stage.
