Istana Nurul Iman

Istana Nurul Iman is the official residence and administrative palace of the Sultan of Brunei. Located in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, it is one of the largest residential palaces in the world, covering approximately 2.15 million square feet. The palace features lavish architecture, extensive gardens, opulent rooms, and state-of-the-art facilities. It serves as the Sultan’s home and hosts official ceremonies, welcoming dignitaries and conducting state functions. The palace exemplifies Brunei’s wealth and cultural heritage, blending traditional Malay Islamic design with modern luxury. It is not generally open to the public, except during special occasions like the annual Hari Raya celebrations.
