Israelite
An Israelite was a member of the ancient nation of Israel, originating from the descendants of Jacob (also called Israel) in the Hebrew Bible. Historically, they were a Semitic people who lived in the ancient Near East, particularly in regions now known as Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and surrounding areas. Their culture, religion, and laws, especially during biblical times, significantly influenced Judaism and shaped the history of the region. Today, the term often refers to members of the Jewish people or those connected to the historical and religious heritage of Israel.
