
Ismail Qemali
Ismail Qemali was an Albanian politician and national leader born in 1844. He played a key role in advocating for Albanian independence from the Ottoman Empire and led the efforts to establish Albania as a sovereign nation. In 1912, he declared Albania's independence and became its first Prime Minister, helping to shape the country's early government. Qemali was also involved in diplomatic efforts to gain international recognition and worked tirelessly to promote Albanian national identity and unity during a turbulent period of change.
