Islam and Liberalism
Islam is a major world religion founded on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, emphasizing faith in one God (Allah), prayer, charity, and moral conduct. Liberalism is a political philosophy advocating individual rights, equality, freedom of expression, and democratic governance. While Islam provides spiritual and moral guidance through religious texts, liberalism focuses on promoting personal freedoms and social justice within pluralistic societies. Both can coexist when Muslim individuals interpret their faith in ways that support democratic values, emphasizing human dignity, respect, and individual choice.
