Ishihara plates
Ishihara plates are specialized color images used in color vision tests to detect red-green color deficiencies, commonly known as color blindness. Each plate features a series of dots in various colors and sizes, forming numbers or patterns visible only to individuals with normal color vision. Those with certain color vision deficiencies may see different numbers or no numbers at all. The test is quick, non-invasive, and widely used by eye care professionals to assess whether a person has normal color perception or a specific type of color vision deficiency.
