IRNSS (Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System)

The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), also known as NavIC, is India’s own satellite navigation system, designed to provide accurate position information to users in India and surrounding regions. Similar to GPS, IRNSS consists of a network of satellites that transmit signals to help determine location and time. It enhances navigation accuracy for various applications, including transportation, agriculture, disaster management, and military operations. Launched and operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), IRNSS improves India's self-reliance in navigation and supports economic growth and security in the region.
