IRGC Navy

The IRGC Navy is the naval branch of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, established to safeguard Iran’s revolutionary ideals and regional interests. It primarily focuses on coastal defense, mine-laying, and asymmetric tactics like fast-attack boats and small submarines to challenge larger naval forces. The IRGC Navy operates in strategic areas such as the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman, aiming to control key maritime routes and project regional influence. It functions separately from Iran’s regular navy, emphasizing unconventional, guerrilla-style tactics to deter or disrupt adversaries' naval operations.
